Clinical Skincare Glossary
A quick guide to clinical terms, active compounds, and hardware technologies mentioned in our guides.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
A naturally occurring sugar molecule in the skin that binds up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Its decline with age leads to volume loss, thinning cheeks, and fine lines.
Autologous Platelet Concentrate / GFC
Concentrated growth factors harvested from the patient's own blood. Extracted and activated via clinical centrifuge to stimulate hair follicle regrowth and repair skin tissues.
Non-Ablative Fractional Resurfacing
Laser technology (like Lumenis ResurFX) that heats tissue columns deep under the skin without vaporizing the top epidermal layer. This triggers collagen remodeling with minimal patient recovery downtime.
